I read that the government put a mother in prison for 27 years on her very first conviction for a non violent drug crime. Why should this slime bag get such a deal? Over a million dollars in bribes to an elected government official and he thinks a year at home is all the punishment he should have. I'm sorry but the justice system in this country has become a joke. If you're poor or a minority and you get arrested you can count on spending a good portion of your life locked up like an animal but if you're a rich white man you can buy yourself out of time behind bars and into time at home with your family and your nice home with the pool and all the amenities. That's not justice. Justice needs to start being meted out the same across the board. Look at the financial crisis. Do we see any of those toe rags that brought this mess down our heads being held accountable? NO. They not only get more of our tax dollars and get to help hand out the funds, they get an extra million or two as a bonus for driving their companies down the toilet. I'm sick of the lack of fairness in this country. Hell no this jerk should not get sent home without his dinner. He should be made to pay for his crimes. So what if he helped the feds. I say rich white men should be held to the same standard as poor black men.

What are they waiting for?

Hope he serves his full sentence. Every last day.

As appreciation, maybe the gov could set him up with a publisher.

This would serve two purposes - provide the public with an insiders perspective of this culture and to offer an opportunity to see if he really has been rehabilitated i.e. see if that ego has really been reigned in !!
